Zoning changes to be discussed

The Planning Board will host a public hearing this week on proposed zoning changes likely to be considered at the May 20 Town Meeting. Proposals include a temporary moratorium on medical marijuana facilities; a change to the solar bylaw to allow solar developments in wetland areas by special permit; and a change to the open-space bylaw that would allow a developer to make a payment to the town in lieu of supplying one affordable housing lot for every 10 lots created. The requirement to create a deed-restricted affordable lot is part of the town’s existing bylaws. The Planning Board meeting begins at 6 p.m. this Thursday at Town Hall, and the zoning hearing is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
