Shorter voting hours

With no competitive races on the May 11 ballot, Norwell residents will have a shorter window of time than usual in which to vote. Polls will be open at Norwell Middle School for four hours, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., half the customary time. Selectmen recently voted in favor of the abbreviated hours recommended by the town clerk in the interest of efficiency and cost savings.
