Town Meeting opens Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Hull High School. Among the items on the warrant is a request for $800,000 to do preliminary work to place utilities underground along Nantasket Avenue. The work would complement the $1.9 million in state money being spent to redo the roadway, sidewalks, and landscaping in the Nantasket Avenue “Surfside” area, according to Town Manager Philip Lemnios. The intent is to make the area more attractive to both residents and developers, he said. A similar motivation is behind a warrant article for a zoning overlay district that would allow a mix of residential and commercial development in the Nantasket Beach area, he said.
