A change of meeting dates has meant an extension for those Duxbury residents interested in applying for the vacant spot on the Planning Board. The Board of Selectmen recently announced the new deadline is May 24. The Planning Board spot opened up after state Representative Josh Cutler, who was on the board, took office as representative for the Sixth Plymouth District. The appointment would last until the next scheduled election, in March 2014. Interested residents must be registered voters and submit a resume, a letter that includes availability, qualifications, occupation, and the number of years he or she has been a Duxbury resident, to the Duxbury Planning Board, 878 Tremont St., Duxbury, MA 02332. The appointment will be made at a joint meeting of the Planning Board and the Board of Selectmen on June 3.
