Property management firm recognized in national award

Peabody Properties Inc., a Braintree-based firm that oversees dozens of Massachusetts housing complexes, has received national recognition for its quality low-income housing. The National Affordable Housing Management Association gave out the award, which noted that Peabody Properties had received the most of the Association’s “Communities of Quality” designations for the entire year, with 42 of their complexes meeting the criteria. The firm had made a concerted effort to obtain the designations, representatives said, and had to meet a variety of standards to gain the approval, including criteria in maintenance, management, residential services, and personnel training. Both Skyline Apartments and Braintree Village, two of the firm’s housing complexes in Braintree, were among those to receive recognition. “The management team and staff at the 42 designated Communities of Quality properties work diligently, day in and day out, to provide key services to residents while overseeing facility maintenance and management,” said Peabody Properties principal and chief operating officer Melissa Fish-Crane in a release. “We are proud that our efforts have been acknowledged by NAHMA.”
