Sullivan throws support to Gomez

At a party held in his hometown of Abington, Republican US Senate candidate Michael Sullivan thanked a crowd of campaign volunteers after he conceded the GOP nomination to former Navy SEAL Gabriel Gomez Tuesday. The former US attorney came in second, winning 36 percent of the vote to Gomez’s 51 percent, after results were announced at Sullivan’s primary election night party at Emerald Hall. Although disappointed, Sullivan urged his supporters to rally behind Gomez in the upcoming special election on June 25, saying “Let’s win this for the Republican Party.”
