Pending Monday’s Town Meeting, a committee will launch a fund-raising campaign to help make turf fields a reality at Norwell High School. In an upcoming warrant article, residents will vote on a Community Preservation Committee request for $225,000 for engineering and design plans for a proposed community complex at the high school. If the project moves forward, the Athletic Fields Committee plans to raise up to $600,000 to supplement project costs because state law prohibits the use of community preservation funds for artificial turf.
