The Parks and Recreation Committee is now in charge of the field at the location of the former Curtis School. At May 6 Town Meeting, residents voted 99 to 47 in favor of transferring responsibility for the property from selectmen to the town’s parks and recreation officials. The site had been considered as a potential location for a fire station, but now talk about its future use leans more toward keeping a well-used baseball field, and possibly creating walking trails or tennis courts.
