The town honored five individuals and one organization this month as 2013’s Hull Heroes, an award that recognizes role models for volunteerism and dedication to the community. This year’s winners were the Hull Garden Club; John J. Coggins, a retired police detective active in veterans’ affairs; Vinny Harte, executive director of Wellspring Multi-Service Center; Richard “Butch” Neal, a retired Marine Corps four-star general; Charles Gould, first chairman of the Hull Redevelopment Authority; and Craig L. Wolfe, who is active in environmental and recreation programs.
