Hingham police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after several car break-ins on Golf View Drive. According to police, three residents reported that their cars — all unlocked — had been entered overnight. Stolen items included a wallet, cash, credit cards, a gift card, sunglasses and an iPod. One other vehicle appeared to have been entered, but nothing appeared missing. Police said the thefts happened between 10 p.m. Monday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. “Typically, suspects check neighborhoods searching for unlocked vehicles that they can quietly steal smaller items of value,” said police Sergeant Steven Dearth. “As always, we remind residents to always lock their doors and report any suspicious activity in their neighborhoods right away.” Anyone with information about these incidents should call Officers Thomas Ford or Lisa McCracken at 781-749-1212.
