The sixth annual Walpole Day kicks off Saturday at noon with a parade from Walpole High School to Stone Field. About 100 community groups plan to set up tables on the field, where there also will be games, entertainment, and food. At 3:30 p.m., thousands of rubber ducks will be released on Memorial Pond for the Wacky Quacky Duck Race, according to Aicha Kelley of the Walpole Recreation Department, which sponsors Walpole Day. Festivities continue on May 19 with a 5k trail run and tethered hot-air balloon rides at Walpole High School. Those events raise money for the town’s Fourth of July fireworks, she said.
