The Board of Health is considering a revision of its tobacco regulations that would outlaw smoking at school playgrounds and parks, according to the health agent, Tara Tradd. She said the current rules, which copy the state’s regulations, do not cover school playgrounds and parks. “We’re thinking of making it stricter,” she said. “There have been some problems with kids smoking” in those areas, she said. Before making any changes, the board will hold public hearings, which have not been scheduled, she said.
