Monday evening is “Technology Night” at Hanover Town Hall. Residents are invited to attend the 7 p.m. selectmen’s meeting, at which Victor Diniak, director of the Department of Public Works, and others will give presentations on new technology that is, according to Town Manager Troy Clarkson, intended to “engage the community and create dialogue” about town issues. “Now, with the DPW for example, instead of just telling citizens which potholes are going to be fixed, residents can take pictures and tell us which ones need to be fixed so we can prioritize our work,” Clarkson said. The new interactive tools — including smart phone apps and Web-based applications — will be available in the next few weeks.
