Globe South: Players of the Week, Top 10 boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams

High 5

Charlotte Allard , Notre Dame (Hingham): The freshman midfielder from Cohasset found the back of the net an even dozen times in a 3-0 week for the cruising Cougars and their high-powered offense. She had five goals in each of NDA’s wins over Cohasset (17-7) and Andover (18-6).

Devon Croke , Norwell: An up-and-down 2-1-1 week ended on a high note for the Clippers, who won the South Shore League title behind nine goals and four assists from the senior in wins over Concord-Carlisle (18-8) and Hull (14-1). She had the best game of her career — a six-goal, four-assist effort — against C-C, then a hat trick in the league-clinching victory at Hull.

Stephanie Hyslip , Whitman-Hanson: Before the junior scored her team’s only goal in a 19-1 loss to Duxbury, she collected eight goals to go with her two assists in the playoff-bound Panthers’ 20-7 blowout of neighboring Abington.

Zack O’Brien , Catholic Memorial: Although the Knights’ week ended with a loss to Catholic Conference champ Xaverian, the junior from Lakeville posted 24 points (17 goals, seven assists) in three games, including a career-best eight goals vs. Mansfield. The 24 points account for more than a quarter of his offensive production this season, and with 44 goals and 40 assists, O’Brien is edging junior Kevin Bletzer (83 points) for the team lead.

Nick Tangherlini , Cohasset: The streaking Skippers are winners of nine of their last 10, a run that last week included 13 points (seven goals, six assists) from their senior midfielder. The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder’s four-goal, two-assist performance against Westborough (14-6 win) was an encore to his three tallies and four helpers against Hull (19-5), which snapped the Pirates’ seven-game win streak and gave the Skippers the SSL crown.
