The Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield is getting ready to welcome hundreds of children, ages 6 to 13, for the second year of summer programming at the new location at 37 Proprietors Drive. The program consists of eight themed weeks from June 24 through Aug.16. Kathleen Newcomb, director of operations, said each week includes one or two field trips to destinations like Roger Williams Park Zoo, Canobie Lake Park, Water Country, and Plymouth Cruises. The club is also getting a new playground, expected to be installed before the program begins, she said. The program runs weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and extended-day options are available. The cost per child is $195 per week for Marshfield residents and $205 for nonresidents. For more details, visit
