Showtime for eighth-graders

The curtain rises Tuesday for Raynham Middle School’s much-anticipated Grade 8 show, a collection of student-produced musical acts that marks one of the final bonding experiences before the students enter a regional high school next fall, said the production’s adviser, social studies teacher Marybeth O’Connor. After daytime performances for their fellow students, performers take the stage for an evening show at 7 p.m. Tickets are $3 in advance at the school office or $5 at the door. Acts include solo vocalists, dance groups, and a group of about 22 students working on a humorous number that involves dancing to a medley of songs, she said. Students are responsible for their own music and choreography.
