Celebrating cranberries

The A.D. Makepeace Co. will host its first Cranberry Blossom Festival on June 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 146 Tihonet Rd. in Wareham. Admission to the festival and parking are free. Festivities include a self-guided nature walk, live entertainment, a cookbook release party, and a cranberry-apple pie eating contest. Children can enjoy a hay bale maze, paddle boats, and face painting. There will be guided tours of cranberry bogs at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. (Tours cost $5 per person, and children under 7 are free.) For more information, visit www.tihonet.com.
