NOW

Patrons go to a check-in area where they are separated into two lines, those with new, regulation bags and those without.

Bags are searched.

Upgrades to security measures include a search with a metal-detecting wand and a pat-down procedure as needed, at adjusted security checkpoint locations, before patrons proceed to the ticket taker.

Patrons may only bring in clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags are allowed; women’s pocketbooks the size of a small clutch bag, approximately the size of a hand, can be brought in, but must be placed in a clear plastic bag of the accepted size.

Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.
