Children’s reading program

The library’s summer reading program for children follows the theme “Dig Into Reading.” Participating young people track the number of hours they read and earn weekly prizes through Aug. 9. They are also entered into weekly raffles in which they can win additional prizes. The program features special events, including two this week. On Tuesday, the library is presenting children’s musical performer Tom Sieling. The event is open to children of all ages. On Friday at 3 p.m., artist Theresa Monteith will lead a Mosaic Wall Mirrors crafts time for children 8 and up. Both events are free and the crafts event requires preregistration.
