John W. Rogers Middle School’s Parent Advisory Committee has been awarded $500 from the Harvard Pilgrim Foundation’s Community Spirit 9/11 Mini-Grant program. The award was used to fund transportation costs for a field trip to Philadelphia for 130 students. The grant program was started in 2002 to honor Harvard Pilgrim members who died on Sept. 11, 2001. The program allows Harvard Pilgrim employees to award each year a $500 grant to an organization of their choice.
