Two positions in the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School District have been filled, and three more should be within the next couple of weeks, according to the interim superintendent, Kristen E. Nash. Paul LaBelle was named principal at Assawompset Elementary School, and Fred Baker the director of finance, human resources, and operations. Three more posts remain to be filled: assistant superintendent for teaching and learning; principal at Freetown Elementary School; and assistant principal at Freetown-Lakeville Middle School. Candidates have been interviewed, with the district School Committee expected to fill the posts this month. Nash, a Rochester resident, is also new, having taken over July 1 from another interim superintendent, Jessica Huizenga. Nash was most recently superintendent of schools in Hanover.
