A 96-unit assisted-living facility is being constructed at 1074 West Washington St. by Hanson-based All American Assisted Living, an affiliate of New York-based Kaplan Development Group LLC. The first senior living facility of its kind in Hanson, the two-story building will feature 48 two-bedroom apartments with a maximum capacity of 96 residents. Eight of the units will be set aside for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of cognitive impairment. Each suite will share a living area, a kitchenette, and a bathroom. The development also features a parlor, library, recreational rooms, a bistro, and public lounges for residents to interact with their neighbors. The facility will offer 24-hour security and a range of wellness and support services. The owners recently held a “hard-hat tour” of the construction site for local officials and area legislators.
