Absentee ballots

Absentee ballots for the two special town elections being held on Aug. 13 are available at the office of Town Clerk Marsha L. Silvia. One of the elections is a referendum on whether the town supports building a slot parlor at Raynham Park. In the other, voters will take up two questions on proposed debt exclusions, or temporary tax increases, to pay for school roof replacements. Voters are eligible to vote absentee if they are unable to make it to the polls on election day due to absence from town during polling hours, physical disability, or religious belief. The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is Aug. 12 at noon.
