Commencement for one

Officials will hold a special graduation ceremony on Aug. 12 for a student who wasn’t able to make the June commencement. Katelyn Williamson was in Brazil, where she spent her senior year as an exchange student, when her classmates graduated on the Hull High School football field. The School Committee and administration are meeting Aug. 12 for their annual retreat, and will end their sessions with a 2:45 p.m. ceremony at the high school for Williamson. The 87-member Class of 2013 scored the highest on the state’s MCAS test in the school’s history and was “a huge part of the reason [Hull High School] was named a Blue Ribbon School” by the US Department of Education,” according to Principal Michael Devine.
