For the fourth summer, the City of Brockton and the Brockton Rox baseball team are hosting a free movie night at Campanelli Stadium, 1 Feinberg Way. “I am so excited we are again able to work with the Rox to offer this free and family-friendly event for our community,” said Mayor Linda Balzotti. “Through these events, we’re able to almost recreate the drive-in movie experience close to home.’’ Doors open at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 23 for the movie, which begins at 6:15. Residents are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs for the screening of the PG-rated movie “Hotel Transylvania.” For more information, call the mayor’s office at 508-580-7123, the city’s information line at 508-897-1398, or go to the city’s website www.brockton.ma.us.
