Back to school: South Shore Plaza will host its annual Back At It event Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. The event for “tweens” (ages 12-16) will feature back-to-school fashion and styling demonstrations, beauty tips, giveaways, and prizes to attendees. Vendor displays will allow attendees to see stores, programs, and products that could be beneficial for students in middle school and high school. 781-843-8201.

Sailboat launch: The “Merry Wing” sailboat re-launch will be celebrated at the Jones River Landing on Saturday at noon. A potluck reception will be followed by a dedication and launching ceremony at 2 p.m. on the high tide. Shakespeare series: The Plimoth Players return for their fourth season with “Much Ado About Nothing” on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The play will be performed on Wednesday and Friday nights, alternating with “As You Like It” on Thursday and Saturday nights throughout August. QUINCY

Homebuyers workshop: NeighborWorks Southern Mass. will offer two workshops for first-time homebuyers at the Winter Gardens apartment complex this month. The first two-part workshop will be held on Monday and Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. The workshops will give participants an opportunity to meet and hear from real estate brokers, insurance agents, attorneys, and loan originators. Westwood

Band concert: WestwoodWinds, Westwood’s first community concert band, will hold its fourth summer concert on Monday at 6:30 p.m. in Westwood High School’s cafeteria courtyard. More than 30 musicians ranging from teenagers to retirees will perform. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in the WHS Auditorium.
