Richard L. Morningstar, American ambassador to Azerbaijan, and his wife, Faith P. Morningstar, will give free lectures Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Marion Music Hall on Front Street. The ambassador’s lecture will focus on the relationship between the United States and Azerbaijan. His wife, a former board member of the democracy promotion and human rights group Freedom House, will talk about Azerbaijan women’s issues. Morningstar was appointed ambassador by President Barack Obama in July 2012, and had been the secretary of state’s special envoy for Eurasian energy. Faith Morningstar is a developmental psychologist. The lecture is presented by the Sippican Historical Society and Elizabeth Taber Library. No reservations are necessary.
