Novelist Walter Walker, a Massachusetts native who is a San Francisco trial attorney, will visit the Hingham Public Library to speak about his new book, “Crime of Privilege.” The novel deals with a Cape Cod murder and a rape in Palm Beach, both connected to one of America’s most beloved and influential families. “We expect a pretty good showing,” said Kathleen McGonagle, a librarian who helped coordinate the event. “. . . I don’t know that that many people know who he is, but his stories should intrigue them.” The talk will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Presented in partnership with Buttonwood Books, this event is free and open to the public.
