Free bike-safety clinic

The Friends of Bird Park and the Walpole Police Department are teaming up for a free bicycle safety clinic on Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. The Walpole Police bike patrol will lead the class, which is open to children and adults. Everyone should bring his or her own helmet. Participants will have an opportunity to bike with the police patrol around the park. A similar event was scheduled in the spring, but it was canceled due to rain. For more information, contact the Bird Park office at 508-668-6136. The 89-acre park is located off Polley Lane and operated by the Trustees of Reservations.
