Trail work begins 2d phase

The second phase of trail work at the Clifford G. Grant Management Area begins at 2 p.m. Sunday and will continue through October. The Easton Conservation Commission received a $17,730 grant from the state for the trail project, which stretches behind the Oliver Ames High School and includes the Town Forest and the Oliver Ames Parker Conservation Land. The grant will fund work to improve and stabilize the existing trail system and add a section that will create a complete loop through the management area. For more details, the complete schedule, and some guidelines for work needed, go to the town’s website at and click on the link for trail building volunteer opportunities.
