District seeks new principal

A search is underway for an interim principal at Old Hammondtown School in Mattapoisett, following the resignation of Matt D’Andrea. D’Andrea is set to leave the job Nov. 1 to become assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction for the Martha’s Vineyard public schools. He has been principal at Old Hammondtown for five years, and was assistant principal of Sippican School in Marion for two years.
