Extended review for Logan flight path

The Federal Aviation Administration has extended the review period for the new flight path over Milton to one year. Residents, along with state Senator Brian A. Joyce, raised concerns with the FAA over the six-month review period of the flight path, which has been the source of noise, pollution, and safety complaints over parts of Milton. The six-month extension will allow runway 33L at Logan Airport to be monitored during the busiest time of the year – the winter – when wind patterns often steer more departures to the runway, according to Joyce. Residents with noise or other complaints are encouraged to call MassPort’s Noise Complaint Line at 617-561-3333.
