Town government overview

Don’t know much about town government? Town Administrator Charlie Seelig has the cure. He’ll be one of the hosts of a crash course to be held Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall that promises to give new board members, volunteers, and other interested citizens an overview in less than two hours. Seelig said some interactive segments will cover such topics as ethics, open meeting laws, who does what, and expenses. “With the constant turnover in officials, employees, and volunteers, many participants in town government have never received an orientation. . . . In addition, many residents, old and new, do not know how town government functions on a day-to-day basis,” Seelig said in an e-mail.
