The Board of Selectmen last Tuesday discussed the proposed gift of parkland at 95 White Horse Road. The land, which measures a little over 2 acres, was purchased by Good Properties Realty Trust from the Archdiocese of Boston for $379,000 in June 2012, according to town records, and it was last assessed at $423,400. The site used to be home to St. Catherine Chapel, which was completed in 1923. Last year, the chapel was torn down and the surrounding property was transformed into a landscaped park with walking paths. The selectmen haven’t decided on whether to accept the gift, but voted at last week’s meeting to table the matter and continue the discussion at a later date.
