The Department of Streets, Trees, and Parks will hold a “Grand Reopening Ceremony” on Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. to celebrate the reconfiguration of the town transfer station. The station has been closed at times during the summer to allow for work there on and an upgrade to the leaching field for the town’s wastewater treatment plant. To finish the reconfiguration project, the station will be closed all day Oct. 2. There will also be no trash disposal or recycling collection at the station on the date of the reopening ceremony. The station will reopen at the normal hours on Oct. 5.
