Town’s turn for parade

It is West Bridgewater’s turn to host the annual Tri-Town Veterans Day Parade, which will step off at 10 a.m. Monday from the corner of North Elm Street and Route 106 in West Bridgewater, concluding with a ceremony at the Town Hall gazebo. The grand marshal for the event — which rotates among East Bridgewater, West Bridgewater, and Bridgewater — is Frank Nelson, a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. This year’s theme is “Honoring All, Yesterday and Today.” Town Clerk Nancy Morrison, a member of the West Bridgewater Veterans Day Parade Committee, said that in addition to veterans and veterans groups and town and state officials, participants will include public safety departments, Boy and Girl Scouts, high school bands, dance groups, antique cars, ponies, and a 4-H dog club.
