Bids open for Forge Pond Park scoreboards

Hanover is continuing work on the Forge Pond Park recreation complex into the winter, and the town manager’s office last week invited bids to provide six LED scoreboards for the park’s baseball diamonds. The bidding closes on Jan. 6, but Town Manager Troy Clarkson said he isn’t certain when installation will begin. “That’s probably a more appropriate question for Mother Nature,” he said. “But our plan is to have them installed in time for spring baseball season. We’ll probably pour the footings in January and get the scoreboards installed in March.” Clarkson said he hopes to complete the dugouts by early spring. During an October special Town Meeting, the town set aside $240,000 in Community Preservation Act funding for the dugouts, scoreboards, and landscaping in Forge Park.
