Boy Scouts collecting trees, wreaths

Ready to take down the Christmas tree and wreaths, but not sure what to do with them? Members of the local Boy Scouts Troop 44 do. For a suggested donation of $10 per tree and $5 per wreath, they will pick up your greenery curbside this Saturday. The trees and wreaths need to be placed outside by 7 a.m. “This is a great service,” said local Health Agent Brian Flynn in a phone interview. “Not everyone has a truck or a large vehicle to transfer their tree to the recycling area, so this helps. It’s also nice to help the Boy Scouts, and if you write a check, you might even be able to deduct it on your taxes.” To arrange a pickup, call 781-204-0055 or e-mail
