GlobeSouth: Players of the Week, Top 10 boys’ and girls’ hockey teams


Adam Blackman , Mansfield: The Hornet junior scored twice and added an assist Saturday as Mansfield cruised by Milford, 7-2. He has 21 points through seven games for the 6-1 Hornets.


Elena Kapolis , Milton: Youth owned Saturday for the Wildcats as the freshman center tallied two goals and three assists. Eighth-grade left wing Laura Hill also contributed a pair of goals in a 5-1 victory against Walpole.

Julianne Landry , Thayer: Milton Academy outshot Thayer, 39-15, in the Independent School League matchup Friday, but the sophomore goalie turned away all 39 shots, including one on a breakaway at the end of regulation before the Mustangs netted a goal in overtime to win, 1-0, and return to .500 on the year.

Colin MacDonald , Marshfield: The senior forward doubled his goal total for the season with a pair of scores in a 5-2 win over Falmouth Saturday to lift the Rams to their fourth straight win.

Haley Payne , Braintree: A day after the Wamps fell, 8-5, to Brookline/Newton South, the junior center helped get Braintree back on track, netting two crucial goals in a 3-2 win over Framingham Saturday.
