Habitat gearing up for spring show

The Greater Buzzards Bay Habitat for Humanity is gearing up for its third annual spring home and garden show April 26 at Old Rochester Regional High School. Organizers are still looking for exhibitors, including contractors, landscapers, nurseries, mortgage companies, banks, and nonprofits, said Christine Lacourse, executive director of Habitat’s area chapter. Exhibit space is $200 for a booth, and $100 for a table, but admission to the show is free to the general public, she said. “We raised more than $10,000 in each of the first two years,” Lacourse said in a telephone interview. “It’s a great fund-raiser and is very well attended by people in the area. And vendors told us they got a lot of sales from being at the show.” Deadline for securing space is the end of March, she said, and can be reserved by e-mailing or calling 508-758-4517.
