An Abington writer’s first book is out, and its protagonist is an neon-orange high-top sneaker. Michele Christian-Oldham described “Sunny the Sneaker” as a children’s book about a day in the life of a teenager’s sneaker in need of some “sole” searching. “It’s fun, it’s lighthearted,” she said in an interview. Christian-Oldham, who works in the Bridgewater Raynham Regional School District, writes for local newspapers and has been a contributor to the “Chicken Soup for the Soul’’ series, including “Chicken Soup for the Soul: It’s Christmas.” Oldham said she wrote the first version of the sneaker story as a student at Braintree High, from which she graduated in 1988. Oldham and her husband have three children, to whom the book is dedicated.
