Planning the Relay for Life

The Relay for Life of Greater Plymouth’s kickoff celebration was postponed because of the snow last week, and has been rescheduled for Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at PartyLite at 59 Armstrong Road. Last year, more than 513 walkers on 41 teams and 91 cancer survivors took part in the walk-around-the-clock fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. This year’s local Relay for Life event will take place June 20 and 21 at Plymouth South High School, and residents from Plymouth, Carver, Kingston, and Plympton are invited to participate. For more information, visit or contact event chairwoman Jennie Babcock at or 508-254-9320. For information on starting a team, contact Lisa Jensen at or 781-831-4937.
