The East Bridgewater School Committee will hold a public hearing Thursday on whether the district should reenter the School Choice program next school year. At a meeting this month, the committee, seeking new sources of revenue, discussed the possibility of reentering the program on a limited basis for grades 7 through 12 in the 2014-15 school year. The district participated in the program for four years before opting out last year. The program allows students who do not live in town to attend schools in the district, which is reimbursed by the state for each out-of-district student it accepts. The hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. at East Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School. The committee has also set a budget workshop for the fiscal 2015 budget Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school.
