Challengers have emerged for seats on the Board of Selectmen and School Committee in the town election on April 8. In the selectmen’s race, incumbents Stephen Anastos and John Anzivino are being challenged by David Sousa, former selectman Joseph Mokrisky, and Dawn M. Reardon for the two available slots. All the candidates have returned nomination papers and had their signatures certified, except for Anastos. School Committee incumbents George Dolinsky and Deborah Sovinee will face Joaquin Soares, Mari-Kate Pina-Enokian, and Randy J. Yanoff for the two seats up for grabs. All five candidates have returned their papers and had their signatures certified. Incumbent moderator Howard Hansen and incumbent Michael Barrett of the Redevelopment Authority have also taken out papers.
