Board to decide on new town manager

Selectmen interviewed three finalists for the job of town manager last week, and said they hope to make a decision at their 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday. The candidates are Dedham Town Manager William Keegan, Norfolk Town Administrator Jack Hathaway, and a former Wayland town administrator, Fred Turkington. Bob Cutler, Foxborough’s current town clerk, has also been serving as the acting town manager since last summer, when selectmen bought out the contract of Kevin Paicos, who had another year to go in the position. Paicos started working as the town administrator in Jamestown, R.I., in October. Before the board began questioning the finalists during last Tuesday’s meeting, Selectwoman Lorraine Brue, who has spearheaded the search process, reminded colleagues to stick to the prepared questions, or stay within professional parameters with any other inquiries. “This is an interview, not an inquisition,’’ she said.
