Food pantry seeks partners, new home

The Weymouth Food Pantry is still looking for a new home in anticipation of its current location being sold. The for-sale sign went up last week at the former Immaculate Conception School, the pantry’s home since 1987, and “we are open to any suggestion or possibilities,” according to director Pat Adams. In the meantime, the pantry is holding its annual Valentine fund-raiser, asking people to sign up during Valentine’s week to become “pantry partners” throughout the year with automatic monthly donations. The pantry provides supplemental and emergency groceries for about 500 families monthly, Adams said. She said donations can be mailed to the pantry at PO Box 890009, East Weymouth, MA 02189-0001, or made through WeymouthFoodPantry.org/valentine.
