Town Meeting rescheduled

A special Town Meeting that will include a vote on whether to form a school regionalization planning committee has been rescheduled for Feb. 26. Originally set for two weeks earlier, the meeting was canceled because the Board of Selectmen did not have a quorum to finalize the warrant in time, according to Town Administrator William Phelan. Phelan said Selectman Kevin Sheehan sustained a knee injury while snowblowing that required emergency surgery. Selectman Matthew Moore was away, leaving only two members available, Phelan said. A quorum is three. The board normally has five members, but Brinsley Fuller resigned in August because he was moving to Framingham. Holbrook is considering regionalizing its schools with Avon. The meeting will start at 7:15 p.m. at Holbrook Junior-Senior High School.
