The Pembroke Historical Society is inviting residents to its annual pancake breakfast next Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon at its museum building, 116 Center St. “It’s a terrific morning and we are looking forward to welcoming the community to the Pembroke Historical Society,” Beth Dwyer, the society’s vice president, said in an interview. Following the breakfast, the society will hold its annual meeting, electing officers for 2014. The public is invited to attend. Tickets for the breakfast are $6, or $4 for children under 12, with proceeds benefiting the society’s restoration and maintenance of its three historic buildings. For more information, contact Dwyer at 781-829-2157. Then on March 15 at 7 p.m. at the museum, the society is inviting the public to an interactive presentation, “Purgatory to Podunk,” by Peter and Debbie Lincoln, about their experience visiting all of the state’s 351 cities and towns.
