Canton Coffeehouse: The Open Book Coffeehouse will host jazz vocalist Maureen Benson on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Canton Public Library. She will be accompanied by a jazz quartet. Easton Olde Tyme Field Day: The Ames Free Library is having its 2d annual Olde Tyme Field Day Fund-raiser on Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. on the library grounds. Families will be able to enjoy a 9-hole miniature golf course, jumpy house, crafts, face painting, carnival games, book sale, indoor movies, food, and music. From 6 to 8 p.m. the library will host a Portuguese event that includes traditional Fado music by Tania DaSilva and a Portuguese barbecue. Tickets for family recreational events $5 per person, or $20 for a family of four or more. Norton Charles Lindbergh lecture: The Norton Public Library is hosting a lecture on Charles Lindbergh, who besides crossing the Atlantic, combined night rail passage with daytime flights to connect New York with Los Angeles in 48 hours, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Refreshments will be provided. www.nortonlibrary.org or 508-285-0265. Plymouth Colonial wedding: Plimoth Plantation announces the marriage of Jane Cooke and Experience Mitchell at this year’s Colonial wedding Saturday at 11 a.m. Witness this 17th-century marriage with the Colonial interpreters. Watch the villagers prepare for the festivities at 11 a.m. with the ceremony and celebration starting at 2 p.m. The event is free with museum admission of $15-$25.95. www.plimoth.org or 508-746-1622.
