Golf tournament aids school scholarships

Plymouth-Carver High School’s class of 1967 will hold a golf tournament to benefit school scholarships Saturday at Southers Marsh Golf Club in Plymouth. Registration is at 12:30 p.m. and tee time is 1 p.m., with a shotgun start. The cost is $400 per foursome, which includes green fees, cart, and dinner. There will be a helicopter ball drop, and Howie Robertson, owner of Robertson’s GMC Truck in Wareham, is donating a 2014 GMC Terrain four-wheel-drive SUV as a grand prize for getting a hole-in-one. Non-golfers are invited to attend the dinner at 6 p.m., and admission is $35. There will be a cash bar, raffles, and prizes. For dinner tickets, send a check to PCHS Class of 1967, P.O. Box 185, Carver, MA 02330. To pre-register for the golf tournament, or to donate raffle packages and prizes, e-mail Ron Randall at Registration will also be available on the day of the tournament. Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships for students at Plymouth North, Plymouth South, and Carver high schools.
